I had surgery on my knee at this hospital on April 9, 2026. I was one of the first patients to come here for a surgery since this hospital reopened under new management and staff. I originally was going to a different hospital for my surgery but that facility canceled my surgery last minute (2 days before my scheduled surgery) leaving my doctor and his staff scrambling to find another location to perform my surgery. I agreed to have the surgery done at Woodland Oaks Hospital. Otherwise, I would have had to delay surgery a couple of weeks, which I wanted to avoid. The staff at Woodland Oaks Hospital was truly excellent and well prepared for my surgery. The nurses made me feel welcome and comfortable. My surgeon completed my operation scheduled, and I was able to go home after I recovered for about an hour. I have had no post surgery issues. Any reviews prior to my procedure (April 2026) apply to the previous ownership and previous staff. This is essentially a brand new hospital and the old reviews (good or bad), in my opinion, can be ignored.

Horrible. My mom had surgery here and then had to stay for a few days. This is far from a “boutique” hospital. This is actually what I would imagine hospitals are like in third world countries. It’s hot. It’s dirty. There is literally no where for anyone to sit/sleep. We can’t leave her alone over night because the nursing staff has been awful. 1 nurse for the entire night shift that’s working the floor and the OR. I’m super disappointed. My husband had the same surgery with the same doctor at Methodist in the Woodlands and the after care he received was stellar.

This was a horrible experience. Finding the correct door to go into is difficult. We went into the one with the most signage and were sent across the parking lot to a very non-descriptive door. Inside was a waiting room that oddly reminded me of the veterinarian office. I mentioned it to my husband, and he pointed out that there was a dog in the waiting room. (Never seen that ant an hospital before). After about 45 minutes of waiting, I was called back and put on a gurney and prepped for surgery (IV) where they left me for over Three hours. When I ask why the delay, they blame the surgeon for running behind. The surgeon showed me his schedule and how he was actually ahead of schedule. After three hours I was starting to have a panic attack and the anesthesiologist knocked me out in the pre-op area. I never saw the operating room. Woke up with a HORRIBLE sore throat. Blisters all over my swollen uvula and lacerations on the back of my throat. Couldn’t eat or talk for days. My PCP even called in a specialist to consult as it looked so bad. I would tell anyone to switch doctors before trusting this hospital again. Truly awful!

I felt exceptionally comfortable throughout the procedure I underwent at this facility. The staff members and doctors exuded confidence in their actions, which helped ease any anxiety I had. Their professionalism and knowledge were evident, making me feel reassured that I was in capable hands. However, one area where the service could be improved is the paperwork process. It would be very convenient if all necessary forms were available online, allowing patients to complete them prior to arriving at the hospital. This change could streamline the check-in process and enhance overall efficiency, making the experience even more pleasant for patients.

Great staff, super friendly. Obviously the process takes two hours from your estimated appointment. They explained everything well, and made sure everything was ready before the procedure. Only thing there was a short delay because of the miss-cooperation between the staff. There was a cable malfunctioning to monitor my pressure (other department borrowed it and never brought jt back)
